New Toys

mrangelmeg let me get my birthday present a month early. I got an Hp mini 1000 series laptop to use when I am away from home.

I have a really nice laptop, but it has a 17 inch screen and weighs a ton and is quite difficult to lug around. Now I have a really nice little computer with a nice sized keyboard to use for when I am away from home.

I have been playing with it and loading my favorite websites (the ones I will most likely need when I am in a coffee shop, or staying overnight somewhere) and setting my search engine to goodsearch for my the angelbaby's school library and all those other important things.

I wouldm't want to use this thing all the time, but for quick little activities it is great. Oh and this morning I discovered a new use for it. When mrangelmeg is asleep in the bedroom, now I can take the mini into another room and check email or go on facebook or even read blog posts, because we have a wireless network in the house. How cool is that?

CRASH

My computer had a hardware failure yesterday. Lucky for me it is still under warranty and I can send it back to Dell for a fix. Unhappily I will have to borrow time on the son and heir's computer when he and the angelbaby aren't using it, so I may be a bit Blog-silent for the next few weeks. I will try to continue posting at least on Monday and Wednesday mornings because he works and she is in school so I know I can get computer time then.

I hope this doesn't take long, I may go into withdrawal. Especially since I don't get any chocolate for the next three weeks either.

I'm Bluetoothed and I like it!

So the new rules here where we live are that you aren't supposed to use your cell phone in your car unless you have a hands-free aparatus to use with it. I didn't have anything like that with my phone, but I knew that my phone was Bluetooth capable, so when we came back from Florida I picked up a bluetooth head set for my cell phone.

I thought I would hate it. I thought it would be hard to use. I thought it would be a total nuisance item to add to my life. I was wrong.

I love this little thing. I have been using it for about a week and I can honestly say that I don't even notice that it is in my ear after a few minutes. I can even make voice recognition calls (if I remember how the number is listed in my contact list). but I haven't tried that yet.

I am so glad I got it. I just wanted you share that with you.
