Understanding Redistribution of Weath

Karen Hall has a really good (and funny) post on the Obama plan for redistribution of wealth.

Read it here.

If that isn't what they mean, then I'll be jiggered, because every time they explain it that is how I understand it.

You should take a few minutes to look at figures on the level of inequality of income in America. If you support continuing tax cuts for the 1% of the wealthiest Americans, people who make $175 million or more a year, then by all means, keep bad-mouthing Obama. The anecdote you linked at somehavehats was kind of sickening. I guess she really showed that minimum wage employee a thing or two. That will teach him to be uppity enough to disagree with her politics. How dare he actually show support for a candidate who he feels will look after his interests. She should have trampled over that peasant on her horse. Read Obama's tax plan. He wants to do away with the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, people you and I have never come in contact with in our lives.

The fact is, we already have had a great deal of income distribution, but it's all been going the wrong way. I defy you to present statistics from any source that don't show that the middle class and below have been losing ground economically while the wealthiest Americans are making a killing.

P.S. I don't know how can you say in another post that Obama is some sort of warmonger as compared to McCain (who said we may be in Iraq for 100 years)? Granted, Obama hasn't been as vocal in his rejection of this horrible war as I would like, but compared to the Republicans he is a peacenik.

Gee, sorry that you didn't get that this was a joke.

or can ironic humor only be employed by the left?
